The Los Angeles Dodgers have made a roster move ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Miami Marlins.

The team has recalled right-handed pitcher Matt Sauer, and optioned right-hander Noah Davis.

Davis, 28, was recalled on Tuesday when the team placed right-hander Tyler Glasnow on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation. He’s made three appearances at the MLB level for L.A., allowing three earned runs across 2.2 innings for a 10.13 ERA. His most recent outing on April 25 was his best, as he pitched two scoreless innings.

As for Sauer, the 26-year-old has made one appearance at the MLB level this season, allowing one earned run in 1.2 innings for a 5.40 ERA.

The former New York Yankees second-round pick has been dominant at Triple-A Oklahoma City, though, sporting a 1.84 ERA across four appearances (three starts). He has 14 strikeouts and has allowed three runs in 14.2 innings of work.

With a bullpen game scheduled for Tuesday, Sauer will provide tons of length for L.A. He last pitched for Triple-A OKC on April 23, meaning he’s fully rested and ready to go multiple innings on Tuesday night.
