The Dodgers are trading minor league outfielder Dylan Campbell to the Philadelphia Phillies in a trade that includes international bonus pool space, per ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel.
Campbell was selected by the Dodgers in the fourth round of the 2023 MLB Draft. The 22-year-old slashed .251/.331/.372 with 10 home runs and 53 runs batted in across 115 games at High-A last year.
Now, he’ll be heading to Philadelphia, as the Dodgers seemingly up their offer to Sasaki, who’s only eligible to sign for a minor league contract with international bonus pool money as a signing bonus due to his status as an amateur international free agent.
According to MLB insider Francys Romero, the Dodgers gained between $750,000 and $1 million in international bonus pool money as part of the trade.
This would get them somewhere around $6 million to offer Sasaki.
