In 2024, the right-hander began the season with Triple-A Memphis. He produced a 1.72 ERA with 18 strikeouts and four saves across 13 appearances.
Loutos made three big league appearances for the Cardinals last season. Across 2.1 innings pitched, the right-hander allowed just two hits and no runs for an ERA of 0.00. The 26-year-old made his Major League debut last year with St. Louis in June.
In Triple-A this season, Loutos sported a 3.38 ERA with six strikeouts across eight innings pitched. After a rocky first appearance in 2025, the right-hander has since tossed seven scoreless innings.
Loutos signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent following the 2021 draft.
The Dodgers bullpen leads the league in innings, and it appears the latest addition should provide some much-needed reinforcements.
