Player of the Day – Brandon Dixon
The Dodgers’ third rounder from 2013, Dixon got off to a miserable start as a pro, hitting .185 in his debut with Great Lakes. He moved up to Rancho to start 2014 and struggled coming out of the gate, batting .148 in April. However, Brandon has begun to turn things around posting a .364/.383/.636 line over his past 10 games. After being drafted, Dixon has moved from third base to second base where his offense will be more valuable. Hopefully he’s made progress in his development and this isn’t just a mirage.
