Player of the Day – Corey Seager
While he did commit an error and get caught stealing, Seager has been on fire since returning from a hamstring injury. Through 9 games in May, Corey is hitting .429 with 5 doubles and a 1.084 OPS. Overall, he’s up to .333/.391/.508. He’s also hitting exactly .333 against both lefties and righties. The power will come around, with doubles turning into homers, as he matures physically. If he keeps up this hot pace, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Seager in Chattanooga before the year is up.
