Player of the Day – Scott Schebler
Due up third in the ninth inning, Schebler had a single, double and triple. After Dickson struck out swinging, Daniel Mayora singled and Schebler stepped in.
Schebler drove a ball to center field and over the wall to complete the cycle. He’s hitting very well at home, with a .303/.367/.688 line, but struggling mightily on the road with a .609 OPS. His lefty/righty splits are fair, with a .786 OPS against southpaws and an .873 mark against righties. Schebler needs to make more contact but his power is evident.
