Player of the Day – Jharel Cotton

Cotton has had an up and down season thus far, which is unsurprising given the fact that he’s pitching in the California League. He’s allowed 16 home runs in 19 games, which is also somewhat predictable give the fact that he stands 5’11. However, he’s struck out 92 batters in 85 innings and walked just 25. With a good fastball and a reliable changeup, Jharel figures to eventually move to the bullpen.
