Player of the Day – Grant Holmes
This year’s first-rounder was promoted to Ogden and debuted for the Raptors last week. Unfortunately, Holmes had the worst outing of his young career, allowing seven earned runs in 3.1 innings.
The litmus test for any young prospect is how they respond to adversity and Holmes did so with flying colors. In his second start, the right-hander went five scoreless and collected five strikeouts. The 18 year old should continue to be pushed aggressively through the Dodgers’ farm system.
