Player of the Day – Scott Schebler
Schebler’s had a great season with Chattanooga and last night it got even better. The 23-year-old outfielder hit a two-run homer in the third inning to give Chattanooga the lead and Chris Reed pitched well enough to win.
However, a late run tied the game and sent it to extra innings. Juan Noriega surrendered the go-ahead run in the 11th and it came down to Schebler again, with a runner on first and one out. Schebler hit his second home run of the game and 20th of the season for walk-off a winner.
