Dodgers Minor League Team Rebrands Around Joe Kelly’s Mariachi Jacket

Once a bitter rival of the Dodgers, relief pitcher Joe Kelly has become a fan favorite. His energy on the field, combined with his fun personality off it, has made him a relatable folk hero among fans.

Kelly won over a lot of the fanbase when he put on a Mariachi jacket years ago, ultimately wearing it to the White House to celebrate the Dodgers’ 2020 championship. “Mariachi Joe” was born and fans everywhere have loved him since.

Kelly is from the Inland Empire, and he knows the impact that music has on Southern California communities. To honor Kelly and the communities, the Dodgers’ Single-A club, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, will be rebranding themselves around Kelly’s Mariachi jacket.

This rebrand will be in effect only for three games, with the first coming Saturday, April 13. The next game will be Thursday, May 16 and finally, Friday, July 19.

You can purchase tickets to the game below!

This is an awesome way to honor the heritage of the community while changing things up within the club. We can’t wait to see how everything looks once it’s finalized.
