Dodgers News: Brusdar Graterol Headed to the Injured List
The Dodgers will play their final game of the series against the Cardinals tonight. Looking to take the series against St Louis, they will send Tyler Anderson out to the mound to face off against Dakota Hudson. But they’ll be without a reliever as well.
The Dodgers announced before the game that they had placed Brusdar Graterol on the injured list. The hard-throwing right-hander is hitting the IL with shoulder inflammation. Brusdar was removed from a game over the weekend with soreness in his side. That apparently was not the reason for his IL stint.
But they are expected to be without him for a little bit. In his place, the Dodgers recalled RHP Reyes Moronta from the taxi squad. Moronta has been on the taxi squad since the game that Brusdar had to come out of.

This will be Moronta’s fourth stint with the Dodgers’ big league team. In his 13 appearances, he has posted a 3.68 ERA and punched out 15 batters in 14.2 innings of work. But losing Brusdar is just the latest loss for a bullpen that really needs some help. The good news? They’re headed into the All-Star break this week and have no relievers on the National League squad.
