
Dodgers News: Dave Roberts to Start Julio Urias Again
Manager Dave Roberts spoke about Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias development on Sunday claiming they “trust” him. The Los Angeles Dodgers will begin a 3-game series vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday before returning to L.A. for a 7-game home stand.
Urias had a solid performance vs. the Giants on Sunday throwing five scoreless innings in the Dodgers 2-1 loss.

Urias has had three road starts in his young MLB career. He has been put high pressure situations going against the Chicago Cubs, New York Mets and San Francisco Giants.

Following his performance on Sunday Roberts said Urias will start again in five days, which would give Urias his second start at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers are on the road for the next three days before hosting the Milwaukee Brewers for a 4-game series.

Yes, he seems to be getting better. Now I notice they are actually swinging and missing at the high fastball. I guess he sets it up better or they are waiting for it but it is too far out of the strike zone about half the time still. I remember in his first start he kept throwing it and they weren’t swinging he got behind in the counts way too much. Now we see the method to the madness. If they can’t hit the other stuff they lay and wait for the high fastball and he fools them up out of the zone. Learn sumpin’ new everyday! Like the really keen keen espn lady says they have to lay off the high fastball. I guess that is a 4 seamer?
