Julio Urias is a Mexican professional baseball pitcher who played for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was born on August 12, 1996, in Mexico. Urias signed with the Dodgers as a 16-year-old and made his Major League debut in 2016 at the age of 19, becoming the youngest player in Dodgers history. He has established himself as a top prospect in the Dodgers organization and has made several trips back and forth from the Major Leagues and the minors.

Urias is known for his exceptional pitching talent, particularly his ability to miss bats and generate weak contact. He has been a key contributor to the Dodgers’ success in recent years, including their World Series championship in 2020. Julio was born with a benign mass under his left eyelid and underwent multiple surgeries to remove it, including one in 2015 one year before his MLB debut in New York.
