Dodgers News: Dodgers Activate Brandon McCarthy; Option Van Slyke
Prior to Saturdays’s game against the Kansas City Royals, the Dodgers have activated starting pitcher Brandon McCarthy.
Today, the #Dodgers reinstated Brandon McCarthy from the 10-day DL and optioned Scott Van Slyke to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Brandon McCarthy only missed one turn through the rotation while he was on the 10-day disabled list so he should not have any rust to brush off before his start.
He currently has a 3.25 ERA in what has been enjoying quite a successful comeback season.
Scott Van Slyke is the one taking the trip back to Oklahoma City to make room for McCarthy on the 25-man.
Van Slyke has been on a downward slope over the last few seasons and did not leave a good impression by walking in his only at-bat and then proceeding to get picked off at first base.
