Van Slyke is batting just .233 in the minors this year and is batting .122 with 2 home runs in the bigs. It is not likely that he will spend much time with the team, but will likely serve as a backup first baseman to Cody Bellinger.
The Dodgers completed the sweep against the second place D-Backs and look to continue their hot streak as the Kansas City Royals come to town.
