Dodgers News: Justin Turner’s Wife Kourtney Shares a Heartfelt So Long to LA
As Justin Turner’s prominence evolved in Los Angeles, his wife Kourtney’s presence within the Dodger community also grew. The couple showed a love to the game and a commitment to philanthropy.
Kourtney had a front row seat in watching JT’s journey unfold from when he was initially non-tendered, to officially joining the Dodgers. Now that JT is off to take on a new chapter with the Red Sox, Kourtney shared a heartfelt message to Instagram.
His wife gave insight into the two’s journey in L.A. while thanking the fans and the franchise (second and third slides):
On top of the influence JT had as a Dodger, he also grew into an inspiring figure within the city. So much so that the Los Angeles City Council declared January 22, 2019 “Justin Turner Day”.
In the letter, Kourtney reminisced on many memories, from JT’s first playoff appearance with the team in 2014, to his NLCS MVP award, to of course, winning the World Series.
As the infielder racked up many accolades and offered contributions beyond the field, Kourtney was a strong support system throughout. Whether that was showing unwavering passion through her podcast or giving back to the city with her husband through their non profit organization, the Justin Turner Foundation. The two made it a point to make genuine connections with fans and community members.
Though the Turners will be missed in Los Angeles, we are excited to see the two flourish in a new city.
