Stripling has been the team’s long man put of the bullpen all season and was stringing together quite a few great performances until a few of his most recent ones where has begun to look burnt out.
The team is just beginning a set of 20 games in 20 days and with Kenta Maeda being slotted back into the rotation this weekend, they were going to need a fresh arm available for them to rely on.
As of Friday morning, there is still no corresponding move that the team has announced, but Triple-A reliever Josh Ravin sent out a tweet on his account that might have hinted that he would be the one getting the call to the big league club.

Apparently Goetta is a type of sausage that is popular in the Cincinnati area, where the Dodgers are scheduled to start a three-game series against the Reds.
