Dodgers News: Trayce Thompson Demoted for Rich Hill’s Return
Rich Hill is officially back on the Dodgers roster. Trayce Thompson is the casualty.
Thompson was promoted when Franklin Gutierrez was placed on the disabled list. He went 0-for-8 in his cup of coffee with Los Angeles. He didn’t register a hit in Oklahoma City either, leaving him hitless on the year.
#Dodgers have reinstated Rich Hill from 10-day DL (blister on left middle finger) and optioned Trayce Thompson to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Dave Roberts said sending Thompson to the minors would give him more of an opportunity. Thompson missed roughly half of last season with back fractures.

Hill, meanwhile, missed only one start in his short DL stint. He’ll make his second start of the season Sunday versus Arizona.
