Dodgers News: Yasiel Puig Responds To Giants Closer Sergio Romo
The Dodgers continue to pile up victories as they won their fourth series in a row with a 4-1 win over the Giants this afternoon. A.J. Ellis hit a bases clearing double in the ninth as the Dodgers chased Giants closer Sergio Romo.
Romo has been known to be fiery on the mound and after getting the save yesterday in the Giants 4-2 win, he did the Hanley Ramirez “I See You” after getting him to flyout to end the game.
Well, Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig had something to say about Romo via Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times:
Yasiel Puig on Sergio Romo: “Yesterday, he struck me out, he controlled Hanley, and he celebrated. Today, it was our turn to celebrate.”

Puig had his worst game with the Dodgers yesterday as he struck out in all four of his plate appearances, but today got the Dodgers rally in the ninth started with a single.
Ramirez is currently riding an 18-game hitting streak and continues to spray the ball everywhere as the Dodgers have cut the Diamondbacks lead in the NL West to just 4.5 games.
The Dodgers will play a three-game series in Arizona starting tomorrow as Zack Greinke will be on the mound against the DBacks for the first time since the brawl last month.
Regardless, the Dodgers got the last laugh against Romo as they have now moved into sole possession of second place while burying the Giants into last.
Here is Romo celebrating the Giants win yesterday and mocking Ramirez:
