Dodgers News: Yasiel Puig Sparks a Brawl Playing in the Mexican League

Dodgers fans know that Yasiel Puig brought the intensity every time that he took the field. Sometimes it led to really good things, and occasionally it would lead to very intense moments. That would include benches-clearing incidents on several occasions.

Puig has shown throughout his big league career that he’s not afraid of a fight. He showed that with the Dodgers, and he’s now showing it with his team down in Mexico. Puig currently plays for El Águila de Veracruz in the Mexican League.

This week, Puig sparked off another massive brawl. The former Dodgers outfielder got plunked during a game and he clearly took exception to it. After standing in the batter’s box for several moments saying some words, things popped off

There hasn’t been any information yet on why Puig and the pitcher clearly had an issue with each other. But it’s clear the former Dodgers star still plays with the same intensity and passion that made him a favorite in Los Angeles.

Puig, you’re one of a kind. He has not played with a big-league club since 2019. Puig signed with the Braves in the middle of the shortened 60-game season in 2020, but a positive COVID-19 test immediately cut that short.

  1. Not intensity. Puig is a cancer. His teammates probably wish he was not there. The worst person in MLB per Dodgers teammates.

  2. They don’t know why the pitcher and Puig have an issue with each other? Well, here’s a clue: The pitcher just hit him with a fastball, up and in. That’s the issue. Duh!

  3. Not missed …too volatile i.e. licks the bat then breaks the bat!!! Got bats in his belfry!!

  4. IT’S A SHAME SO MUCH TALENT, THE
POTENTIAL IS OR WAS OFF THE CHARTS,
MAKES ME SAD, IF HE WERE ONLY MORE
LIKE A JEETER OR MABEY A CLEMENTY
WHO GAVE HIS LIFE TRYING TOO SAVE
PEOPLE, I WISH HIM THE BEST,
BUT I AFRAID HE’S TOO HARD HEADED
TO GET THE BIG PICTURE OF LIFE.
