Dodgers Notes: LA Adds Pitcher From Yankees, Huge Blake Snell Update, Embarrassing Loss to Pirates

The Los Angeles Dodgers were shut out by the Pittsburgh Pirates, 3-0, at home in the series opener. Paul Skenes outdueled Yoshinobu Yamamoto, shutting out L.A. for 6.1 innings. The Pirates bullpen did the rest as L.A. moved to 16-10 on the year.

Before the game, the Dodgers claimed a former New York Yankees pitcher off waivers. He was added to the team’s 40-man roster.

Additionally, manager Dave Roberts provided a major update on Blake Snell, revealing the MRI didn’t show any additional information, and the left-hander may get an injection.
