Dodgers Notes: LA Interested in Reliever, Kiké Hernández Update, Dave Roberts Calls Out Opposing Fans
The Los Angeles Dodgers don’t seem to be done with their spending spree of an offseason just yet, as they are linked to another reliever to bolster the bullpen.
The former member of the Atlanta Braves completed a workout in Irvine, CA as Dodger scouts were in attendance.
In other Dodgers free agency news, an ESPN insider revealed that the Dodgers should prioritize a reunion with utility man Kiké Hernández. The fan favorite and locker room personality provides so much more than his on-field production, and Buster Olney revealed in an interview with Dodgers Nation’s Doug McKain just how much the team values Hernández.
Additionally, Dodgers manger Dave Roberts took a shot at opposing fans recently for what he thinks is a show of jealously from the supporters of MLB’s 29 other teams.
An MLB insider offers thoughts on why Dodgers free agent Jack Flaherty is still not signed with an MLB club. After acquiring Flaherty at the trade deadline, the 29-year-old Burbank, CA native was a consistent piece of the Dodgers rotation well into October.
And finally, in the final chapter of the Roki Sasaki offseason, it was reported that Mookie Betts gave a 10-minute long speech to Sasaki days before the phenom made his decision to sign with L.A. The speech was centered around how the city of Angels turned into a second home for the Tennessee native.

Dodgers are still on the hook for $17M with Taylor. If they ate $12M to facilitate a trade and signed Kike for $5M, the money would be a wash and the Dodgers would be better.
Total agree and if Andrew Friedman really wants to listen and make Dodger fans extremely happy he would sign up Kiki Hernandez! He is the heart and soul of the fans and the clubhouse.
