Dodgers Notes: LA Makes Major Roster Move, Linked to All-Stars in Blockbuster Trade, Shohei Ohtani Pitching Update

The Los Angeles Dodgers moved to 11-4 on the season as they beat the Chicago Cubs, 3-0, in their return to Dodger Stadium Friday evening.

Ahead of the victory, the Dodgers made a major roster move as they activated a veteran who hadn’t seen the diamond in quite some time. He was a key part of the win both on and off the field as it was also his bobblehead night.

Additionally, the Dodgers have been linked to some All-Stars to potentially acquire and bolster a roster that has already seen its fair share of injuries through just 15 games. Second base and center field still have many question marks surrounding them despite the recent success.

Finally, reigning National League MVP Shohei Ohtani is in ‘lock step’ with the organization on his pitching return, per manager Dave Roberts, and is thankful for the team being so cautious in his long-awaited Dodgers pitching debut. The goal is to not just have Ohtani bring his pitching dominance to L.A., but to do so deep in October when it will be most effective.
