Dodgers Notes: LA’s Door for Bo Bichette Opened, “Shohei Day” on MLB Network, Clayton Kershaw News

The Los Angeles Dodgers are still lurking in the MLB free agency waters, ready to pounce and strike a deal if a good opportunity arises.

The hot stove is colder than ever during the early part of January, even though experts predicted that it would begin to heat up soon.

Kyle Tucker, Cody Bellinger, and Bo Bichette are all still on the free agent market, and there is seemingly little traction for a deal.

Luckily for the Dodgers, the waiting game only helps them, as they can gain leverage over some of these players and swing a short-term, big-money deal, as front offices prefer.

The lack of action has left the door open for a player like Bichette to sign on and upgrade the lineup as a whole.

In other news, Clayton Kershaw is being targeted for a role in NBC’s baseball coverage, set to begin during the 2026 season.

Kershaw retired on top after winning the World Series, and he may be set to take on a post-playing role on the sidelines, but still around the sport.

Finally, another network — the MLB Network — will be dedicating a full day of coverage to Dodgers’ superstar Shohei Ohtani on Jan. 7. Be sure to tune in or follow the special occasion.
