Dodgers Notes: Pitcher Retires, Yasiel Puig Announcement, Walker Buehler Update

Former Dodgers reliever Casey Sadler announced his retirement on social media after a 14-year career. A key factor in his decision is his plan to focus on a pitching business started by his wife.

Former Dodgers right-fielder Yasiel Puig has made a significant move regarding his immediate future playing baseball. He will return to the Korean Baseball Organization, rejoining the Kiwoom Heroes for the 2025 season after playing with them in 2022.

The Dodgers’ five-year, $182 million deal with Blake Snell signals a potential shift away from re-signing Walker Buehler. Buehler, now a free agent after the 2024 season, faces uncertain prospects of returning to Los Angeles with Snell now anchoring the rotation.

  1. Soooo, the title states “Walker Buehler Update” and the retreads the same tired non-update about Buehler that has been said 20 times on this site since the Snell signing. How about an actual update? The Dodgers are idiots if they don’t re-sign Buehler, as we finally started seeing the Buehler that we’ve loved toward the end of the season and playoffs. Hey, here’s an idea. Kershaw declined his player option, maybe to get a better or different deal. Who should we keep, Kershaw or Buehler? Walker 99 out of 100 times, and that one time is iffy at best.

    1. You Are Right On Point! If The Dodgers Don’t Re-Sign Walker Buehler, Just Like You Said, They’re Idiots. I have my doubts on how Effective And Healthy Blake Snell Will Be. Buehler Is One Good Pitcher! ?

      1. I agree. Dodgers should resign Buehler and Flatery. They deserve a chance to repeat as W.S. Champs.

  2. Time for Kershaw to ride off into the sunset. Time waits for no man. He’s a mascot now. Resign Buhler.

  3. I agree. Dodgers should resign Buehler and Flatery. They deserve a chance to repeat as W.S. Champs.
