Dodgers Notes: Shohei Ohtani’s Game 4 Status Revealed, Sandy Koufax Approves Dave Roberts, Juan Soto to LA?
The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York Yankees, 4-2, on Monday night, and are one win away from taking home the 2024 World Series.
After the game, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts revealed Ohtani’s playing status for Game 4 while answering a question about Ohtani wincing in Game 3.
“I don’t know how much, but yeah, balls that were away that he chased a little bit, I saw a couple winces,” Roberts said. “I think it’s sort of pointless for me to even consider it because he’s going to be in there tomorrow.”
Elsewhere in Dodgers world, the legendary Sandy Koufax approves of Roberts’ job, while Juan Soto to L.A. rumors have started to circulate ahead of free agency.

Juan Soto to the LA Dodgers….because….why? What I love about our team is that the Dodgers are a group of players who, even when individually in the spotlight, remember that they are part of a team. I cannot think of a single player on the Dodgers, no matter how much media attention, who tries to monopolize the spotlight. All it takes is that one player (and the Dodgers have been there before) who does not “fit” to compromise a team including, but not limited to, its reputation. Soto is undeniably a really good player, but he is not needed as a Dodgers.
