Dodgers Place Brusdar Graterol on Injured List With Shoulder Inflammation

the Dodgers activated catcher Austin Barnes from the injured list, and optioned catcher Hunter Feduccia to the minors. They also placed right-handed reliever Brusdar Graterol on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation and recalled right-handed pitcher Ben Casparius.

Graterol, 26, had been counted on as a key cog in the Dodgers’ bullpen since returning from a hamstring injury on Sept. 10. In seven games, he had allowed only three hits and two runs across 7.1 innings, walking two and striking out seven.

Now, his regular season is over — and his status for the postseason is in jeopardy as well.
