Dodgers Sign Samuel Muñoz and Accimia Morales, Two Top-50 International Prospects
Even with the MLB lockout still going, the Dodgers are doing what they can to win the offseason. On Saturday, it was reported that the club had agreed to sign at least two international prospects. Right-handed pitcher Accimia Morales and outfielder* Samuel Muñoz. Both rank on the top-50 international prospects list.
MLB.com prospects insider Jesse Sanchez, as well as Ben Badler with Baseball America, were on this news.

Now, there seems to be some confusion online about Muñoz, the 7th overall international prospect. MLB Pipeline mentions him as a righty swinging outfielder but later refers to him as a left-handed swinging infielder. He may, in fact, be a switch hitter. Reports say that the prospect has an advanced approach at the plate with “good power.”
[Munoz] already shows an above-average ability to barrel up the baseball to all fields and the thought is that ability will translate into homers as he fills out his large and developing frame. – Sanchez

Morales, the 37th overall prospect we can say with certainty is a right-handed thrower. The 6’4″ 17-year-old already grades well on the 20-80 scale. MLB Pipeline gives him a 55 fastball, 50 slider, 55 changeup, and a 50 overall.
His fastball has been clocked at 93 mph, he throws a hard slider with a sharp break and throws a changeup with lots of movement. His ability to mix up his repertoire while still pounding the strike zone stands out for a prospect his age. He projects to be a mid-rotation starter in the big leagues one day. – MLB Pipeline
The Dodgers have a signing pool of just over $4.6 million for this year’s signing period. According to Sanchez, LA is also expected to sign right-handed pitcher Luciano Romero and have reportedly agreed to deals with several other players.
