Dodgers Team News

Dodgers Trade for Ryan Yarbrough, Lynn, Kelly, Rosario, Kiké; Did LA Do Enough?

After a busy but uninspiring trade deadline for the Dodgers, we’re taking a step back to review each move the club made and try to determine if it really was a flop or was another instance of Andrew Friedman playing chess while everyone else was playing checkers.

The Dodgers went out and acquired LHP Ryan Yarbrough, RHP Joe Kelly, RHP Lance Lynn, infielder Amed Rosario, and old friend Kiké Hernandez. So far, each player has done something to help the team win and both of the position players added have ended up being huge additions in the lineup.

Each player was the topic of conversation in another edition of the Dodgers Nation mailbag with our Doug McKain.

Another big topic was the status of top prospect Michael Busch who is having another great season but is buried at Triple-A for the second season in a row. Should Busch see some playing time over Max Muncy? Max hasn’t had the greatest of seasons and has been on again, off again slowed by injuries.
