Dodgers: Trevor Bauer to Make His Cactus League Debut on Monday

The Dodgers went out at the last minute and free agency and spent like crazy on their starting rotation. A staff that was already pretty close to elite landed Trevor Bauer and easily became the top rotation in all of MLB.

With that in mind, Dodgers fans have been anxious to know when they will get their first look at Trevor Bauer. Generally in Spring Training, the normal roster guys will see a little bit of a delay in their start to game action.

But that does not appear to be the case at Bauer was announced as the starter for Monday’s game in Glendale. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts made that official in a media call on Saturday morning and Bauer will pitch the first 2 innings.

Roberts also noted that the Dodgers and Rockies will likely play just 6 innings on that day. New rules put out by MLB allow teams to shorted games should both sides find it to be advantageous for the sake of player health and development.

The Dodgers and Rockies will kick off at 12:05 PM Los Angeles time, an hour behind Arizona. The game will be broadcasted on SportsNet LA and will also be available to listen to on AM570. The team has not yet announced who will be following Bauer once he exits the game.
