Dodgers: Trevor Bauer Trolls Himself After Loss to the Cubs

You can always count on Trevor Bauer to have some sort of interaction every game. The Dodgers hurler usually gets into some sort of viral internet moment, whether it be Fernando Tatis mocking him in his celebration or pitching with one eye.

But sometimes you just got to troll yourself if no one is going to do it for you. At least that’s the approach that Bauer took after the Dodgers loss on Tuesday night.

Bauer posted the clip of Jason Heyward taking him deep in the Cubs’ win. He also joked that if any NL sluggers needed a pitcher during the homerun derby that he would be available. Funny enough, he actually pitched very well for the Dodgers.

Bauer tossed 4.1 innings and was charged with just Heyward’s solo homerun. He couldn’t quite keep his pitch count down, but he did strike out 7 and keep the Dodgers in the game. Still, doesn’t hurt to make fun of yourself a little bit.

Bauer is pretty hard on himself with each passing start. But he also has to deal with an offense that is struggling to keep their heads above water. A lot of things are going wrong for the Dodgers at the moment. So…I guess we just laugh until we cry.

  1. No need for Bauer to volunteer. The Dodgers have plenty of pitchers in the bullpen that can do a better job.
