Dodgers vs Cardinals: Betting Odds and Predictions for Tuesday’s Bullpen Game
The Dodgers and Cardinals are set to kick off game 2 in Los Angeles at 7:10 p.m. LA will go with David Price in what will once again end up being a bullpen game. The Cardinals will turn to RHP John Gant in the contest.
Unfortunately for the Dodgers, they haven’t had a ton of success when they have to go with an entire game of relievers. In fact, they’re just 5-6 on the year when throwing a bullpen game. But they will also be going with David Price, who has given them a few innings in his last few bullpen starts.
The Cardinals will counter the Dodgers bullpen game with John Gant. who is having a great year in 2021. Through 9 starts, he has pitched to a 1.81 ERA and sort of lopsided 4.06 FIP. Justin Turner is the only one in the lineup who has any real success against Gant, but there also isn’t anyone with more than 3 at-bats against him.

Predictions: The Dodgers are riding a streak that has them favored in games for quite some time. This one is no different. But from a betting standpoint, Los Angeles throwing a bullpen game plays into St Louis’ favor. Those are pretty good odds if you live in an area where you are able to bet on them.
Over or Under? Under. For no real reason other than it just feels like one of those games where the Dodgers don’t get much going offensively.
