Dodgers vs Giants: Betting Odds and Predictions For Monday’s Game

The Dodgers and Giants will start a 2-game miniseries tonight in Los Angeles. Coming off of a series win over the Cubs, Los Angeles will be looking to gain some ground on San Francisco in the National League West.

Trevor Bauer gets the start for the Dodgers in game 1 and will face off against Anthony DeSclafani. The last time Bauer faced the Giants, he tossed 6.1 innings and was not charged with an earned run. He struck out 11 and walked 4 in that outing while also throwing a ridiculous 126 pitches. Bauer’s last start in San Diego saw him give up 3 solo homeruns, something he has been bitten by all year.

For the Giants, DeScalfani has been one of the biggest surprises all year. He was charged with 10 earned runs the first time he faced the Dodgers in the season, but he has yet to give up more than 3 runs in any other start this year.

  • Giants Odds: +155
  • Dodgers Odds: -190
  • Over/Under: 8

Predictions: The Dodgers are on a roll having won 3 of their last 4 since the very bad start to the week they had. But the Giants have just been an overall very good team this year. Los Angeles is favored for a reason, but most of this game relies on how Anthony DeSclafani pitches.

Over or Under? Both teams have the potential to put up 10 runs a game on any given day. Taking the over on this is only a risk given that Bauer and DeSclafani are pitching. But take the over…probably.
