Gavin Lux Injury News: Dave Roberts Provides Update on Injured Dodgers Shortstop

Dodgers starting shortstop Gavin Lux exited Monday’s game on a cart with what is now known to be a right knee injury. After the game, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts spoke to the media, and provided a brief update on what he knows.

He said the team is in the ‘hope’ phase, and that Lux told him that he heard a pop in his right knee. Lux is getting an MRI on his knee.

While we weren’t expecting a big update this soon, it is nice to know that Roberts said “there was strength in the knee.”

Here’s the full Roberts interview after the game:

The Dodgers had big plans for Lux this season, taking over as the starting shortstop, so hopefully this isn’t a long-term injury. We’ll continue to update you when we know more.
