MLB 15 The Show Video: Dodgers Vs. Padres Gameplay

With Cactus League games well underway and Opening Day rapidly approaching, there’s an additional date for baseball and gaming fans to look forward to — March 31.



On the final day of the month, MLB 15 The Show will be released in what marks the game’s 10-year anniversary. Yasiel Puig is the honorary cover athlete and he, along with the Los Angeles Dodgers have been featured in multiple trailers and screenshots that have been released.

IGN held a live stream Tuesday to introduce and review new features, and highlight franchise mode. After playing an Arizona Diamondbacks-Washington Nationals game and some aspects of franchise mode, game between the Dodgers and San Diego Padres.

However, prior to first pitch, the standings in franchise mode reflected the Dodgers held a comfortable 12-game lead over the Padres in the National League West with a remarkable 70-37 record. Once the simulated game begins, Jimmy Rollins lines to center field for the first out of the game before Carl Crawford hits a solo home run off James Shields.

While manager Don Mattingly hasn’t necessarily given an indication of what the every day lineup will be, The Show has Rollins batting first followed by Crawford, Yasiel Puig, Adrian Gonzalez, Howie Kendrick, Juan Uribe, Joc Pederson, Yasmani Grandal and Clayton Kershaw.
