MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game: Former Giants Outfielder Trolls Dodgers
The stars were out at Dodger Stadium last night, but with the Dodgers playing about 40 miles south on the five freeway at Angel’s Stadium, there were different types of stars. The MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game at Chavez Ravine on Saturday night featured some of big names.
Worldwide rap sensations Bad Bunny and Quavo were on the field, as well as pop star JoJo Siwa and Marvel movie star Simu Liu – just to name a few.
But there were also some former MLB stars taking part in the game, including longtime Dodgers Andre Ethier and Shawn Green. Green and Ethier were on the same team, with C.C. Sabathia and Hunter Pence playing on the other squad.
To add some intrigue, Ethier was on the mound with former Giants nemesis Hunter Pence in the batter’s box.
Ethier playfully threw behind Pence with his first under-handed pitch. Pence and Ethier shared some laughs, but later in the at-bat, Pence blasted a home run over the (short) left-field fence. As he rounded third base, the former Giants All-Star unbuttoned his jersey to reveal a “SF” undershirt.

Hunter Pence got booed by Dodgers fans, hit a HR (almost over the ACTUAL fence), bat flipped, and revealed a @SFGiants shirt under his jersey as he trotted around the bases ?

The fans at Dodger Stadium responded with a chorus of boos. Safe to say, none of the fans paid for a ticket to see a Giants logo paraded around the base paths. Even at an exhibition game with the fences pulled in.
