MLB Drops Dodgers’ All-Star Game, Home Run Derby Hats
New Era revealed the hats set to be worn by the American and National Leagues during the 2024 MLB Home Run Derby and Workout on Friday.
Both hats feature two stripes across the front adorned with the Texas star. The NL hat is a mixture of blues with a navy base and a brighter bill with the team’s logo front and center.
The workout hats are traditional with the team’s colors but have a similar design to the All-Star Game. The Dodgers’ hat is blue and white with an off-white Texas star.
The Texas Rangers are hosting the July 16 Midsummer Classic for the first time since 1995. This year also marks the first time in 90 years that the reigning World Series winner has been the All-Star host.
Social media has had more of a negative reaction to the hats than positive. The colors are just a bit brighter than what the Rangers use.
