Shohei Ohtani Reacts to First Career Walk-Off Hit With Dodgers

Just when the Dodgers needed him most, superstar Shohei Ohtani delivered for them. He hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift Los Angeles over the Cincinnati Reds.

He registered the hit off of Reds relief pitcher Alexis Diaz, who has an interesting delivery on the mound. Ohtani spoke with SportsNet LA after the game and reacted to his own game-winner.

“He has a unique delivery so I just wanted to make sure I put the ball in play and it worked out well.”

It was his first career walk-off hit as a member of the Dodgers and helped Los Angeles get the win. They took three of four games from the Reds in this series and are rolling as of late.

Los Angeles now welcomes the Arizona Diamondbacks to town this coming week for a rematch of the 2023 National League Division Series.
