Watch Trevor Bauer Warm Up Before Facing Dodgers With Independent Team
News broke recently that former Dodgers starting pitcher Trevor Bauer was joining the Asian Breeze independent team and that they would be facing Los Angeles today. The Asian Breeze is a travel team whose purpose is to help players get recognized by scouts as they play against minor league players from MLB teams.
Bauer has been looking to get back into the major leagues, so he is using this opportunity to make his case. The Asian Breeze will be taking on the Dodgers at the Camelback Ranch backfields, and he certainly had a lot of attention as he warmed up.
The last time we saw Bauer pitch in MLB was in 2021 with the Dodgers. He made just 17 starts with Los Angeles after signing a three-year, $102 million with the team.
He was placed on administrative leave by MLB for 324 games after violating the league’s domestic violence and sexual assault policy. His suspension ended up being reduced, but he was released by the team after it concluded.
He has been playing overseas with the Yokohama Bay Stars in Japan but has desired to make a return to the United States. Bauer will get his chance today to show his skillset, with the league watching how it plays out.
