Will Tyler Glasnow Miss Time for Dodgers After Leaving Sunday’s Game? Dave Roberts Answers

Tyler Glasnow was absolutely rolling Sunday afternoon against a tough Texas Rangers lineup.

Through four innings, Glasnow was dominant, allowing zero runs and only three hits while also striking out six. His mix of a high 90s fastball with a wicked slider was working as well as it had all year long.

Then, an injury happened. Everyone seems to hold their collective breath when mentioning “Glasnow” and “injury” in the same sentence. While wickedly talented, the 6-foot-8 righty out of Southern California historically has a difficult time staying on the field.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, he grabbed his ankle after throwing a pitch. Soon after, he was lifted from the game. It was then determined that Glasnow had been suffering from leg cramps. This appeared to be a far better outcome than a potential tendon or ligament issue.

Manager Dave Roberts was asked about Glasnow’s status moving forward. Fortunately for Dodgers fans, it appears as if he’ll be on track to start next week.

Los Angeles dodged a major bullet here. With Blake Snell on the IL and a host of other pitchers still not ready to come back in a full-time capacity, the Dodgers could ill-afford to see Glasnow go down for any substantial period of time.

  1. Where is dumbass Tony Gonsolin? Did he walk on the field and break a leg or something?
