Top of the 6th inning Wood set a new career-high in strikeouts. Ironically, Wood notched his 13th strikeout of the night vs. Melvin Upton Jr. In the 7th, Trayce Thompson hit his 7th career home run to give the Dodgers the lead.

Wood finished off the night with 13Ks in six innings, and accomplished something not even Clayton Kershaw has done.

horrible to watch
That’s great now Roberts, if you will, please take Wood aside put your arm around him and explain to him what it means to be a Dodger, AND in the tradition of Koufax, Valenzuela, Hershieser, and Kershaw gently tell him he have to do it all for the team to win.
