Dodger Notes: Clayton Kershaw’s Return, Trade Interests, Walker Buehler’s Injury

Turnabout is fair play, but that maxim isn’t enough to make the Dodgers’ 7-6 loss to the Colorado Rockies sting any less.

One day after the Dodgers came from behind to beat the Rockies with a seven-run rally in the ninth inning, Yohan Ramirez allowed a walkoff sacrifice fly in the Dodgers’ 7-6 loss on Wednesday.



There were reasons to be encouraged, however, starting with the return of Clayton Kershaw in a minor league rehab game. Here’s all the news you might have missed:

Clayton Kershaw’s Encouraging Rehab Start

Future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw showed promising signs in his return to the mound during his first minor league rehab start. Pitching for the Single-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, Kershaw struck out five over three innings, exhibiting increased velocity and control despite allowing a run. It offered hope that Kershaw’s return could boost the rotation sooner rather than later.

Bobby Miller’s Return; Walker Buehler on IL

In a swap of starting pitchers, the Dodgers activated Bobby Miller to start against the Rockies, while Walker Buehler was placed on the 15-day IL due to hip inflammation. Miller, returning from shoulder inflammation, was under the spotlight Thursday.
