2 Former Dodgers Relievers Find New Homes in Free Agency

Former Los Angeles Dodgers relievers Corey Knebel and Scott Alexander have found new homes. Knebel signed a minor league deal with the Chicago White Sox, while Alexander signed a one-year deal with the Oakland Athletics.

Knebel will be in big league camp as a non-roster invitee. He did not pitch in 2023 while he was recovering from a capsule tear in his shoulder that happened with the Philadelphia Phillies late in 2022.

Alexander and the A’s agreed to a one-year contract on Tuesday becoming the third former Dodger to join the A’s from the Giants this offseason. Alex Wood and Ross Stripling will most likely be in the starting rotation while Alexander will pitch out of the bullpen.

The 34-year-old spent the last two years with the Giants. Last year, he recorded a 4.66 ERA in 48.1 innings for San Francisco.

The White Sox will be the fifth team for Knebel and the A’s will be Alexander’s fourth.
