Dodgers: Bettors Are Losing A Lot of Money Betting on Los Angeles This Season

On paper, the Dodgers should consistently be one of the top teams in baseball. They have one of the better lineups in the league even when enduring injuries. But regardless of how they should be performing, they just keep finding ways to lose against teams they should beat.

That includes the Rockies, who took the first 2 games of the series already. The Dodgers watched Clayton Kershaw get roughed up and the offense couldn’t keep up on Tuesday. And coming into the game as -225 favorites against Colorado, that shouldn’t happen.

But it’s sort of been the theme for the year for the Dodgers. According to one report, they are losing bettors a ton of money this year. That’s often because they have come into games as massive favorites, especially over teams like the Rockies.

That report says that the Dodgers are losing the average $100 daily bettor is down nearly $300 on the year. For comparison, those same kinds of bettors are up $1300 on the Yankees and almost $1000 betting on the Mets every game.

All of that despite the fact the Dodgers are 17 games over the .500 mark this season. But oddsmakers tend to inflate those numbers for lines for very good teams, and Los Angeles is one of the best out there. If they could just stop losing games to terrible teams, they might even things out for bettors that stay loyal.
