Dodgers: Caleb Ferguson Headed to the Injured List

The Dodgers will head to Cincinnati this week looking to bounce back after a rough series against the Guardians. After losing 2 of 3 to Cleveland, all eyes will be on the bullpen and struggling offense.

Unfortunately, the Dodgers will be without Caleb Ferguson. The team added him to the injured list on Monday afternoon without and official injury designation. That move might be just for the MLB rule going into effect this week that limits the number of pitchers on rosters.

But regardless, the team will not have Ferguson available to them. His injured list designation was backdated to June 17th.

The Dodgers have a tough call to make with their bullpen, but a change in closer is apparently not on the table. Dave Roberts said they will not be going away from Craig Kimbrel in the 9th inning despite some atrocious outings, most recently allowing 2 runs to give away the game on Sunday.

Well hello, old friend. The Dodgers needed some right-handed outfield help after losing Mookie Betts, and they got it this week. They reportedly made a trade with the Tigers for outfielder Trayce Thompson, who spent several seasons in Los Angeles.
