Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw Takes Another Step Toward Return

Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw was seen throwing off the mound on Saturday at Dodger Stadium. He has yet to make his debut this season as he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery but this is a great sign toward his recovery.

Fans have been waiting to see Kershaw take the mound again this season. The last time we saw him was a poor performance in the postseason last year when he got lit up by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Kershaw threw a bullpen session a few weeks ago that went well so this is another sign of excellent progress for his return. He isn’t expected to be back until around July or August and the Dodgers aren’t going to rush him.

When he takes the mound for the first time later this season, it will mark 17 seasons in a Dodger uniform. He seems to be on a good track for an eventual return and it will be a welcome sight when it happens.
