Dodgers Fans React to James Outman’s Home Run in First MLB At-Bat
Just two days, 25-year-old James Outman received the call that he would be getting the call up to the big club and joining the active roster with the Dodgers. On Sunday, the starting right fielder homered in his first at-bat in his major league debut against the Colorado Rockies in the third inning.
His 2-run shot to right-center field set the tone for what fans can only hope to expect from Outman who was selected in the 7th round of the 2018 Draft.
Fans took to social media to share their excitement for the rookie’s major league debut:
Congratulations to James Outman! Welcome to the big leagues. I hope he got that ball back.

Imagine getting called up and hitting a 2-run shot in your first plate appearance. K the second time up, no problem. Rock a 110mph single the third AB, moved to 3rd by Mookie Betts and driven home by Freddie Freeman.
What a debut for Outman, surrounded by MVPs the whole way ?? https://t.co/GdYL9GEzAn pic.twitter.com/CQ1VTWs3Sl
