Dodgers Fans React to Latest Noah Syndergaard Rough Outing
Dodgers RHP Noah Syndergaard struggled yet again on Wednesday, in a game against the Washington Nationals he easily could have won.
The Dodgers got three runs in the 1st inning of off LHP Patrick Corbin, giving Syndergaard a quick 3-0 lead. However, Syndergaard let the Nationals work their way back into the game, and ultimately left with the Dodgers trailing 5-4.
Overall, Syndergaard went five innings and allowed seven hits, five runs and two walks while striking out just two. He raised his ERA to 6.54 on the year.
This was yet another bad start in Syndergaard’s rough first (and probably only) season with the Dodgers. He was hoping to revitalize his career in Los Angeles, but unfortunately, they just weren’t able to get it done.
After Syndergaard’s rough outing on Wednesday, Dodger fans took to Twitter to share their disappointment with how his season has gone.
This just has to be Noah Syndergaard’s last start for the Dodgers.

I imagine with Julio back next week and Michael Grove back this weekend this is it too.

Someone needs to eat up innings for this team. Grove is a question mark. Stone isn't ready. Not counting on May coming back. Pepiot is unknown. Need to explore some trades now

Syndergaard is a mess, it should be his last game but knowing Dave Robert's that won't happen.

I'd normally agree but who else are going to pitch? Stone? If they had options they would DFA him. At least Grove is back, and can't believe I'm hoping Grove pitches. At very least Urias returns before Syndergaard DFA'd. Miller also has limited innings for '23. Need Pepiot back.

Friedman won’t admit he made a mistake. Not yet…

Once they get guys back he has to be moved to bullpen or dfa’d.

Give Landon Knack a shot, or anyone else in that AA rotation.

Is there any part of baseball that Syndegaard is still good at?
— Rick Rios (@Jari44) May 31, 2023
Man I’m honestly tired of this guy is it worth losing every 5th start
— Joshua Gonzalez (@JoshuaG66462882) May 31, 2023
Man this dude is just not an MLB pitcher anymore
— Cliff Jackson Jr. (@CliffJacksonn) May 31, 2023
So he pulls out Catman last night when he was dealing but wants to keep a struggling pitch in the game who hasn’t been good all season. Make it make sense

You don’t cash in with the bases loaded with nobody out with a bad pitcher. This is what happens. ?????
— Veniceoriginal (@AfroJew84) May 31, 2023
That had to be Thors last start as a Dodger

It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Syndergaard. The Dodgers can’t keep throwing him out there, however, until Julio Urias returns, they may not have any other great options.
This does feel like the final straw, though, as Syndergaard should have put away the weak Nationals lineup early in this one.
