Dodgers Free Agent Jack Flaherty Posts 2 Cryptic Gifs as Roki Sasaki Decision Nears

Los Angeles Dodgers free agent Jack Flaherty appears to be excited for the Roki Sasaki sweepstakes to come to an end.

Flaherty posted two gifs on social media Friday morning, one a little easier to understand than the other.

The first one showed someone looking at their watch, which seems to hint at him waiting for Sasaki to make his decision.

Flaherty’s market has likely stalled until the top starting pitching prospect makes his decision, so the 29-year-old can’t wait for Sasaki to decide on his next team.

The other gif is a little more complicated.

Flaherty posted a gif of Michael Jordan making somewhat of a surprised face. It’s very unclear what this one means.

Flaherty’s free agency has likely taken longer than he hoped, but once Sasaki makes his decision, it shouldn’t take long for Flaherty to find his next home.

If the Dodgers lose out on Sasaki, it would makes a ton of sense for L.A. to bring back Flaherty, who’s reportedly open to a short-team deal.

It’s very possible Flaherty has held out to see if the Dodgers miss out on Sasaki, as the 2024 World Series champion has made it known he wants to stay in his hometown of Los Angeles.

  1. Jordan GIF may be in response to Blue Jays getting an extra 2 million in IBP money. Gotta give it to the Jays, they are pushing hard. Man, how crushing would it be for them to lose out again. I bleed blue, but I would feel for them.

  2. Sasaki, I hope, is thinking not only about the money, but his career and what he wants it to be. The Dodgers can offer him the greater chance for success than the Jays. A shortcoming in LA can be more easily overlooked than in Toronto. They are a team most notably known as a participation, but not ultimate achievers. They will have a hard time retaining their two biggest players, Bicchete and Guerrero after this season. The Dodgers are built to not only win the prize every year, but to enable you to obtain personal endeavors and goals, both personally and career wise. I’ve heard some say that Toronto will have all of Canada behind him, and that sounds great, but the Jays will always be behind the better teams, and the Dodgers have by far the strongest support which outweighs the entirety of Canada.
