Over the weekend, it was reported that the Dodgers have signed 18-year-old pitching prospect Roman Camacho out of Arizona. LosDodgers.com beat writer Erick Aguirre was the first to report on the signing.

Camacho was born on November 23, 2004, in Phoenix, Arizona but is of Mexican descent. He reportedly has a fastball that sits 90-92 miles per hour from the right side. He’s listed as 6’0″ tall and weighs a reported 194 pounds.

The deal was officially inked on August 8th and Camacho was assigned to Dominican Summer League Team LAD Mega. He made his first appearance for the team over the weekend, logging one scoreless inning while allowing one hit and recording his first strikeout.
